At Shaypes, we believe that a friend here is a friend for life. True friendships provide emotional support, ease loneliness, and create a sense of belonging. They reduce stress, boost well-being, and help individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
We actively encourage and nurture friendships within our community, fostering an environment of mutual support, understanding and teamwork. Through shared experiences, we help neurodivergent adults build meaningful connections that last a lifetime.

At Shaypes, we organise regular get-togethers where participants can have fun, share laughter and enjoy life to the fullest. This is where friendships begin and flourish.

Who We Are

Shaypes is a dedicated team of professionals passionate about providing support for neurodivergent adults in the local community. Every member of our team is fully insured, holds an enhanced DBS check, and has the necessary travel cover—so you or your loved one are always in safe hands.

We carefully create small, supportive groups based on personalities and abilities, ensuring that each individual feels comfortable, valued and encouraged to participate. Our focus is on helping participants stay active, build confidence and develop social independence in a way that suits them best.

About Shaypes

Shaypes was founded by Dav Singh, whose passion for supporting neurodivergent adults was shaped by his own family’s experience. Both he and his wife have neurodivergent family members, giving them firsthand insight into the challenges of navigating social life, friendships and independence without the right support. Inspired by his wife’s work in the sector, they recognised the lack of inclusive spaces where neurodivergent adults could truly feel understood, valued and empowered.

Too often, adults who don’t qualify for care services find themselves struggling to navigate friendships, employment and social independence. Dav and his wife wanted to bridge this gap by creating a space where neurodivergent individuals could feel welcome, supported and empowered.
What started as a small initiative has grown into a vibrant support network, helping adults across Kent stay socially connected, active and engaged in their communities. Shaypes is a place where friendships thrive, self-confidence grows and no one is left behind.

Who Shaypes Is For?

Shaypes is a welcoming and inclusive community designed to support neurodivergent adults and those who need extra guidance in social, emotional, or independent living skills. Our regular activities and events are open to individuals aged 16 and over, but if you are looking for support for a younger child, our team is happy to discuss options.

We work with individuals who may need help navigating social situations, building friendships, and gaining independence. This includes those with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, and a variety of other needs.

While we provide comprehensive social and life skills support, please note that we are unable to assist with personal care. Our group sessions operate on a one-to-three or one-to-four staff-to-participant ratio, ensuring everyone receives the right level of guidance while maintaining their independence.
